As Gloucestershire has now moved to tier 4 we are required to amend the service we can provide with immediate effect.
- All cremations and burials including graveside remains unchanged; meaning a maximum of 30 people can be in attendance, observing the current government guidelines.
- All appointments for scattering, placement or interment of cremated remains are limited to a maximum of 6 attendees. If families wish us to perform the scattering/placement/interment without attending please contact the office but this will be done at our convenience and with nobody in attendance.
- The office will be closed to the public unless it is in connection with grave selection, collecting ashes, or similar and only one person will be permitted in the office waiting area at any one time.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you and your families but this is out of our control but it goes without saying we appreciate your patience and understanding during the current situation.
Where is the Book of Remembrance located, and is it permitted to visit it during this lockdown?
Thanks
Hello Elizabeth. The Books of Remembrance are still located at the old chapels in the cloisters and are open to the public every day. All we ask is that you refrain from touching the display cabinets. Regards
Are services live streamed?
Hello Helen
Many apologies for the delay in replying to your query. Services can be live streamed, however the decision is made by the family whether or not they wish to have a live webcast and is ordered through their Funeral Director. There is an associated charge for this service. Regards
